DOWNTOWN, Boston.- A 42-year-old Boston man was arrested Friday after two separate assaults in downtown Boston left both victims with injuries requiring hospital treatment, according to police.
Aaron Meuse was arrested at about 11:48 a.m. on September 4 after officers responded to the two incidents in the Downtown area.
In the first incident, a man picking up a prescription at a local pharmacy told officers that Meuse struck him twice on his right upper arm before fleeing. The victim later noticed two puncture marks and blood coming from his arm.
Witnesses and the victim provided officers with a description of the suspect. The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Officers then responded to a second incident near West Street. A second victim told officers that the suspect entered a bar and attempted to order a drink before assaulting him and leaving.
The second victim suffered a minor laceration to the neck area and flagged down Suffolk University Police sergeants nearby for assistance.
With assistance from Suffolk University Police, officers located and arrested Meuse without further incident. The second victim was also taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Meuse is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
