BRIGHTON, Boston.- A two-alarm fire broke out Monday morning at a 2½-story multifamily home at 259 N Beacon St. in Brighton.
Firefighters found heavy fire when they arrived and quickly called for a second alarm, bringing additional crews to the scene.
The heavy fire was knocked down, and firefighters began checking the building for fire that may have spread to other areas.
By 10:03 a.m., some of the first firefighters to arrive were leaving the scene. Other crews remained because the building had several hotspots, and firefighters expected to stay for some time.
