DORCHESTER, Boston.- A man was slashed early Monday while attempting to break up a fight aboard a party bus in Dorchester, resulting in the arrest of a Waltham resident, according to police.
The incident was reported at approximately 12:47 a.m. on August 24, 2026, near 1104 Massachusetts Avenue, in the area of South Bay Mall. Officers responded to a report of a person who had been stabbed.
When officers arrived, Boston EMS was treating the victim for an apparent laceration. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police received a description of the person believed to have caused the injury and began searching the surrounding area. Officers later spotted a man matching the description walking through a parking lot toward Interstate 93.
Officers observed blood on the man’s left hand and underneath his fingernails. When asked about the blood, the man told police he had been involved in a fight.
The victim told additional responding officers that he had been trying to break up a fight on a party bus when the DJ, identified as the suspect, lunged at one of the men involved. The victim was slashed during the altercation.
Police arrested Stanley Saintile, 32, of Waltham. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court on a charge of aggravated assault and battery.
