BACK BAY, Boston.- The Boston Book Festival will return to Copley Square on October 17, featuring more than 200 authors and 80 literary events during its 18th annual festival.
The free festival day will follow a ticketed Opening Night event on Oct. 16 featuring bestselling author Michael Lewis in conversation with Pulitzer Prize winner Geraldine Brooks at Old South Church.
The festival will feature keynote appearances by Edwidge Danticat, Imbolo Mbue, Emily Wilson, Renée Watson, Tess Gerritsen, Walter Mosley and Michael P. Murphy.
Programming will include author discussions, presentations, children’s activities, read-alouds and an outdoor fair with more than 60 exhibitors. Events will take place at venues around Copley Square, including the Boston Public Library, Old South Church, Goethe-Institut, Church of the Covenant and Trinity Church.
The complete author lineup and session schedule are expected to be announced in mid-September.
