DORCHESTER, Boston.- A third and final suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting on Dacia Street in Dorchester, bringing all three men identified by investigators in the case into custody.
Boston Police said Dacorsey Washington, 21, of the South End, was arrested Monday, July 27, 2026, by members of the department’s Fugitive Unit at a residence in Brockton. Washington was transported to Boston Police District B-2 for booking and charged in connection with the May 12 shooting.
The charges against Washington include unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, and two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon involving a firearm.
The shooting occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on May 12, 2026, near 25 Dacia Street in Dorchester. Officers responded to reports of a person shot after ShotSpotter technology detected multiple gunfire activations near 23 and 30 Dacia Street.
Investigators found ballistic damage to several nearby homes and a parked vehicle, along with numerous shell casings and blood trails in the area of 25 and 33 Dacia Street. Residents were not injured.
While officers were responding, Boston Medical Center notified police that a shooting victim had been dropped off at the hospital’s Harrison Avenue entrance by a BMW SUV. Two additional men were seen leaving the vehicle and fleeing on foot toward Harrison Avenue.
Surveillance footage showed the BMW SUV entering the shared driveway between 33 and 25 Dacia Street, where a Jeep was parked. According to investigators, three occupants exited the BMW and opened fire toward the Jeep as it left the area. Investigators said surveillance footage indicated one of the three men was struck by gunfire from one of his own companions during the exchange.
The BMW was later seen leaving the area and traveling directly to Boston Medical Center, matching the vehicle that transported the wounded man.
Through surveillance footage, physical evidence, and follow-up investigation, detectives identified the three men believed to have exited the BMW and fired at the Jeep.
Tyrus Farrell-Woodson, 24, of the South End, was arrested on the night of the shooting, May 12, 2026. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon involving a firearm, and two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon involving a firearm.
Chivaughn Nettles, 21, of Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, was identified during the investigation. On May 21, 2026, Roxbury District Court issued an arrest warrant and a search warrant for his residence. Boston Police Fugitive Unit officers arrested Nettles without incident on May 22, 2026, at his Huntington Avenue residence.
A search of Nettles’ home resulted in the seizure of an empty ammunition magazine and other evidence investigators linked to the shooting. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, second offense; carrying a loaded firearm, second offense; attempted assault and battery by means of a firearm; two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon involving a firearm; discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building; and unlawful possession of ammunition, subsequent offense.
With Washington’s arrest, all three men identified in connection with the Dorchester shooting are now in custody.
