ROXBURY, Boston.- A two-alarm house fire was knocked down early Tuesday morning at an occupied home on Marcella Street in Roxbury.
Firefighters responded around 4:40 a.m. on July 21, 2026, to 17 Marcella St., where crews found fire showing from the rear porches of a two-and-a-half-story wood-frame home with extension into the structure.
A second alarm was struck as firefighters worked to control the blaze, bringing additional companies to the scene.
The fire was later knocked down, and crews remained on scene checking for hotspots. Second-alarm companies began leaving the area, and detail companies were activated.
No injuries or cause of the fire were immediately reported.
