A former assistant admissions director at Emmanuel College has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for attempting to solicit a minor for commercial sex and for cyberstalking, according to federal prosecutors.
Jacob Tyler Henriques, 27, of Boston, was sentenced in U.S. District Court by Judge Myong J. Joun and will also serve five years of supervised release. He previously pleaded guilty in November 2025 after being arrested in May 2025.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, Henriques used his role as an assistant admissions director at Emmanuel College in Boston to access personal information for admitted and prospective students. He then contacted multiple students and solicited them for commercial sex, in some cases offering payment and sending pornographic material.
Prosecutors said Henriques targeted at least eight admitted or prospective students using admissions records. In one case, he contacted a 17-year-old prospective student shortly after a campus tour, offered $400 for “some fun,” sent explicit videos, and continued contacting her despite repeated refusals, including after she blocked him.
Authorities said he also continued contacting another student after she committed to attend the college and repeatedly accessed admissions profiles outside business hours.
The case involved victims ranging from 12 to 18, according to prosecutors. The investigation was led by the FBI Boston Division with assistance from Emmanuel College Campus Police and multiple local police departments.
