The BPD Drug Control Units executed a search warrant Monday morning that led to the arrest of a 17-year-old Jamaica Plain male and the seizure of a firearm, ammunition, and narcotics, according to the Boston Police Department.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on May 4, 2026, officers conducted an investigation that resulted in warrants for the suspect’s person and residence in Jamaica Plain.
Police observed the juvenile leave his residence and enter a rideshare vehicle before stopping him and taking him into custody without incident.
Officers then searched the residence and seized a Glock 23 .40 caliber handgun loaded with 18 rounds of ammunition, a high-capacity Glock magazine, approximately 10 grams of fentanyl packaged in two plastic bags, approximately 17 grams of crack cocaine packaged in six plastic bags, and additional drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court on charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large capacity firearm, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition, trafficking fentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs.
