Multiple sites across the Neponset Watershed are scheduled for the 2026 Neponset River Spring Cleanup, organized by the Neponset River Watershed Association (NepRWA).
The event involves volunteers performing a variety of tasks, including collecting trash, documenting findings, checking in participants, and taking photographs. Children under 15 are required to be accompanied by an adult. Families, scout groups, and workplace teams are among those expected to participate.
NepRWA will provide cleanup equipment such as trash bags, tongs, rakes, shovels, gloves, waders, hand sanitizer, and bug spray. Participants are advised to bring hats, sunscreen, water, snacks, and wear long pants with closed-toed shoes suitable for outdoor terrain.
The cleanup is set for Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with specific site details available upon registration.
