Firefighters responded to a multi-family home fire at 54 Marshfield Street in Roxbury on Monday afternoon, according to the Boston Fire Department.
Officials said the fire began on the first floor and traveled up through the walls, extending to the third floor of the building. Crews worked to contain the flames and prevent further spread.
No injuries were reported. However, six residents were displaced as a result of the fire and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
