A 36-year-old Dorchester man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police said they observed him stealing a package from a residential property in Fields Corner.
Officers assigned to Dorchester were on patrol around 12:50 p.m. on March 3, 2026, when they noticed a man crossing Dorchester Avenue onto Centre Street carrying a black duffle bag. According to police, officers recognized the individual from prior incidents.
Police reported that the man, identified as Tyler Little, was seen walking along both sides of Centre Street and appearing to case residences. Officers said they observed him enter the gated area of 402 Centre St., remove a package from a front porch, and then flee in the direction of Adams Street.
Officers converged on the suspect and stopped him at the intersection of Adams Street and Victory Road. During the arrest, police said they recovered three additional packages, each bearing a name other than the suspect’s.
Little was charged with larceny from a building, three counts of receiving stolen property, and trespassing. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
