Seventeen-year-old Mela Rosario of Dorchester has been reported missing, and authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating her.
Rosario was reported missing at about 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, after she failed to return to her home on Thornley Street. According to police, she last had contact with her family at approximately 11:30 a.m. earlier that day.
She was last seen in the area of the Brockton Family Courthouse following a scheduled court appearance and was expected to be home by 10:00 p.m. When she did not return and could not be reached, her family contacted authorities.
Rosario is described as approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall, with brown skin, a medium build, brown eyes, and brown, medium-length hair with a blonde streak. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, black leggings, brown Ugg boots, and glasses with clear black frames.
The Boston Police Department says it is actively working to locate Rosario and urges anyone with information about her whereabouts to call 911 or contact Dorchester Detectives at (617) 343-4335.
