An armed carjacking reported in Dorchester late last month led to the arrest of three young adults following a multi-week investigation that included surveillance review and the recovery of weapons and other evidence.
According to investigators, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, near the intersection of Columbia Road and Quincy Street. At the time, responding officers determined that a vehicle had been taken and assisted the victim at the scene before transporting them away from the area. An initial search of the neighborhood did not locate the vehicle.
Further information obtained the following day indicated the incident involved an armed carjacking. Investigators learned the victim had been directed to stop at a location in Dorchester, where multiple suspects were present, including at least one individual reportedly armed with a firearm.
Review of surveillance footage from residential buildings, private security systems, and city cameras showed the victim’s vehicle arriving at the Indigo Block Apartments on East Cottage Street. Shortly afterward, several individuals were seen leaving the area, and another individual approached on foot and drove the vehicle away. Additional video tracked the vehicle as it traveled through Dorchester before being parked near Abbotsford Street. Later footage showed multiple suspects entering a nearby apartment building carrying items believed to have been taken from the vehicle.
On Friday, December 5, 2025, the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied outside a residence on Abbotsford Street. It was towed to Boston Police Headquarters for processing.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, arrest warrants connected to the investigation were executed. Leireker Deleon, 18, of Roxbury, Aamir Sylvia, 19, of Dorchester, and Atiana Suazo, 20, of Dorchester, were taken into custody. All three are charged in connection with a joint-venture armed carjacking and are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
Suazo faces charges including armed carjacking with a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, larceny over $1,200, threat to commit a crime, and conspiracy. Deleon is charged with armed carjacking with a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, larceny over $1,200, and conspiracy. Sylvia is charged with armed carjacking with a firearm, threat to commit a crime, and conspiracy.
During the investigation, authorities seized several firearms, including a Canik 9mm pistol, a Glock 21 Gen 4 .45 caliber pistol equipped with an automatic conversion device, an FN 10mm pistol, and a Bushmaster XM-15 AR-style rifle pistol seized in two pieces. Investigators also seized a firearm conversion device, magazines, ammunition of multiple calibers, and other accessories.
Additional items seized included controlled substances, suspected stolen property, clothing believed to be connected to the incident, personal documents, and U.S. currency.
