On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Boston Police officers from the department’s Drug Control Units executed two search warrants in Dorchester, resulting in the arrest of two local men on multiple drug trafficking charges.
Nelson Rodriguez Tejada, 42, and Wellington Guzman Rodriguez, 27, both of Dorchester, were taken into custody following searches at 41 Norfolk Street and 74 Geneva Avenue. Officers seized three kilograms of fentanyl, thirty grams of crack cocaine, four rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials, and approximately $6,080 in cash.
Rodriguez Tejada faces charges including trafficking of Class A drugs over 200 grams, trafficking of Class B drugs, and unlawful possession of ammunition. Guzman Rodriguez is charged with trafficking of Class A drugs over 200 grams and trafficking of Class B drugs. Both men are expected to be arraigned at Dorchester District Court.
To place the magnitude of the fentanyl seizure in perspective, just 2 milligrams is often enough to kill an adult. That means the 3 kilograms recovered could theoretically represent more than one million lethal doses.
