On Thursday, December 26, 2024, at approximately 7:20 PM, officers from the Boston Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and West Broadway. They arrested John Ahearn, 28, during this stop, from South Boston. Ahearn was wanted on two outstanding warrants: one for breaking into a building during the daytime with the intent to commit a felony and another for stalking.
These charges originated from an incident on Sunday, December 22, 2024, when officers responded to a report of a break-in at an apartment on Codman Street in Dorchester. Upon arrival, they learned that the suspect had forcibly entered the residence by damaging the front door.
John Ahearn is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
