Two juvenile males were arrested on firearm-related charges following an encounter with officers in Dorchester.
Boston Police officers observed a group of juveniles on a stoop near Fowler Street, one of whom was holding a marijuana cigarette. As the officers approached, the group became verbally hostile, and one juvenile appeared to be adjusting his clothing suspiciously. A subsequent pat frisk revealed a Smith and Wesson revolver concealed in the juvenile’s waistband.
A 14-year-old was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and issued a violation for underage marijuana possession. His companion, a 15-year-old, was arrested on four outstanding warrants for charges including Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle. During the search of the 15-year-old, officers recovered two live rounds of ammunition and a spent shell casing, leading to an additional charge of Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
The arrests occurred around 2:18 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, according to the law enforcement agency.
