Two arrested in fatal shooting of Leudis Mejia Sanchez

On August 12, police responded to a shooting at a residence on 5 Trent Street in Dorchester, where they found two male victims with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital. Leudis Mejia Sanchez, 49, of Dorchester, was pronounced deceased, while the second victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

On September 9, Boston Police Fugitive Unit officers arrested 18-year-old Manuel Guerrero of Dorchester near Dorchester Avenue. Guerrero was apprehended on an outstanding warrant and faces charges of murder, home invasion, carrying a firearm without a license, and armed assault with intent to murder.

Two days later, on September 11, Homicide Unit detectives arrested a 17-year-old male suspect from Dorchester on a warrant for similar charges, including murder, home invasion, armed assault with intent to murder, and carrying a firearm without a license. Both suspects were arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
