Fields Corner library temporarily closed again due to HVAC issue

The Fields Corner Branch of the Boston Public Library temporarily closed on Friday, September 13, due to an ongoing HVAC issue, and the closure is expected to continue through Saturday, September 14.

This follows a similar closure on August 28, when high temperatures inside the building forced the cancellation of all programs and notary appointments for the day.

During this time, patrons are encouraged to visit nearby library branches, including Adams Street, Codman Square, Grove Hall, Lower Mills, or Uphams Corner.

The Fields Corner Branch is located at 1520 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester.
