Supporters and players at the inaugural AJ’s Flag Football Game, 2018 | Photo by Cristina EduardoThe 7th Annual AJ’s Community Flag Football Game, hosted by the non-profit initiative founded by Arminda Baptista in memory of her late son, AJ Monteiro, celebrates his legacy with a day of peace, unity, and love.
The event will feature food, family fun, and games and will be held at Roberts Park, located at 98 Dunbar Avenue in Dorchester.
AJ Monteiro tragically lost his life on September 5, 2017, near his home in Dorchester. To honor his memory and advance messages of peace and unity, Arminda Baptista created this effort, which highlights the annual event as a central component.
The game will take place on Saturday, August 17th, from 1 PM to 5 PM, with the kick-off scheduled for 2 PM.
