This scholarship supports women of Polish ancestry in New England who are pursuing higher education. Created in 2022, it honors academic excellence, leadership, and community service among Polish-American women.
“As women and as Polish-American women in particular, we believe strongly in the importance of education and in supporting others to achieve their goals,” said scholarship founders, Vanessa and Casey White from Jaju Pierogi and Erica Manczuk Stocks, founder and president of the Polish American Heritage and Community Foundation.
“Through this scholarship and ongoing fundraising efforts, we hope to increase the amount of money we can award each year to help very deserving Polish-American women help defer the cost of their education,” said the founders.
Applicants can apply at www.thepahcf.org/paws by April 15, 2024.
Jaju Pierogi is a women- and family-owned company that crafts authentic Polish products. The Polish American Heritage and Community Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Dorchester that celebrates and preserves the cultural heritage of Polish Americans through educational programs and community outreach, fostering pride and understanding.
