Three teenage boys were caught by the police in Dorchester during the day for crimes involving guns and robbery.
The Boston Police received a call reporting a robbery at 157 Washington Street. They were given descriptions of the three suspects and found them on the fourth floor of a building. When the officers approached, the teens ran away, starting a chase.
According to the police report, two of them were caught trying to leave the building from the back, while the third was captured nearby. The officers followed their escape path and discovered a gun, identified as an SCCY CPx2, loaded with one round in the chamber and nine in the magazine.
All three minors, aged 14, 15, and 16, were arrested and charged with having a gun illegally, having ammunition, and robbery with a weapon. They are scheduled to appear in Dorchester District Court for their first hearing.
The arrests happened on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at around 2:00 PM.
