The incident occurred at approximately 3:10 am on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Upon arrival, the Boston Fire Department ordered a second alarm as the fire, originating on the third floor, quickly spread to the roof. Despite the challenging conditions, the firefighters managed to contain the blaze to the top floor and roof area, limiting further destruction.
Sadly, as a result of the fire, six adults and one child have been displaced from their homes. The Red Cross of Massachusetts has stepped in to provide housing assistance and support to those affected.
During the operation, one firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported by Boston Emergency Medical Services for treatment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
