The Dot Day Parade has been a cherished tradition for 116 years, running continuously from 1963 to 2020. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was paused but successfully resumed in 2022. This year, the parade returns once again to ensure the continuation of this time-honored tradition.
The Dorchester Day Parade is a delightful event suitable for the whole family. Each year, it attracts hundreds of neighbors, local officials, and notable figures who come together to celebrate the Dorchester community.
Everyone is welcome to join, and the best part is, it’s completely free! The festivities will begin at 1:00 p.m. on June 4, 2023, with various groups starting their march from Lower Mills, precisely at the corner of Washington Street & Dorchester Avenue.
The parade route spans 3.2 miles along Dorchester Avenue, concluding at Savin Hill, near the intersection of Columbia Road.
