The event took place in front of the Paul Revere monument at the Boston North End on Sunday, January 23, 2022.
Organized by Boston First Responders United (BFRU), the event’s purpose was to demand the termination of Mayor Wu’s discriminatory vaccine “passport” and forced vaccination of city workers.
On January 15, Wu’s vaccine policy called “B Together” started to force private businesses to require a “proof of vaccination” (COVID-19) to its potential customers to serve them. On the other hand, a mandate forcing all public servers to be vaccinated (COVID-19) or face termination was planned to go into effect on January 15 but it was delayed by Mayor Wu twice: first until January 24, and now until January 30.
BFRU created a website named FreeTheHub.com, where residents from all around the Commonwealth can register to participate in further actions to stop the COVID-19 vaccine mandates in Boston.
