The Dorchester Food Cooperative (DFC) invited its members and supporters to participate in the conceptual design process of its first grocery store to be located in the neighborhood.
In May, the DFC hired architecture cooperative CoEverything to strategize, design, and develop the project with the input of the community.
DFC has created a “three-part interactive design workshop series,” starting with the first workshop to meet the designers of CoEverything and participate via Zoom call on Tuesday, June 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
With 821 members to date, the Dorchester Food Cooperative is a grassroots initiative to build a “community & worker-owned” grocery store that “makes healthy food accessible and advances economic opportunity through neighborhood engagement.”
