Dorchester’s TechBoston Academy co-headmaster, Keith Love, passed away at his home in the Central Massachusetts town of Grafton surrounded by family on May 26, 2020, after several years of managing a struggle with cancer.

Love was born July 29, 1966, in Camden, New Jersey, son of Joyce Love and Raymond Davis. He studied at Boston College, where he met his wife Tracy Frederico, mother of his son Joshua Love. Love had a long career in the Boston Public School system, where most recently he was co-headmaster at Tech Boston Academy (TBA), advocating for his students and community for 20 years.

A few days before his death, a heartfelt tribute called “the Love parade” was performed by the school community in the presence of Mr. Love.

“Keith was, and will continue to be, the heart and soul of our TBA community” expressed his colleague co-headmaster Nora Vernazza, who has organized a fundraiser to create a scholarship on his honor.

Almost two hundred donors have already donated more than $21,000 to make the Keith Love scholarship a reality.

Founded in 2002, TBA is a pilot school located in Dorchester, Massachusetts, that offers a college preparatory curriculum to students in grades 6–12.
