Former Councilor of the City of Boston Tito Jackson has tested positive for the coronavirus COVID-19 and is now at his home in quarantine, continuing recovery. He’s a resident of the area of Dorchester-Roxbury.

According to the information provided directly by Jackson, his symptoms began on March 14th with a sore throat and cough, followed by a headache and fiver during the evening. A few days after Jackson experienced the “worst body aches ever” and had “slight difficulty” breathing.

Councilor Jackson was officially notified of the COVID-19 infection on Friday, March 27th, 2020, and will be on quarantine for two more weeks.

“Stay your butt at home! You don’t have to be 80-years-old to get it. This virus is no damn joke. If you don’t sit down, it will sit you down, lay you out or even take you out. Even worse, you could pass it on to someone else,” Jackson expressed on a social media service.

On March 10th, 2020, the Baker-Polito administration declared the State of Emergency in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; on March 13th, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in the United States of America; and on March 15th, a public health emergency was announced in the city of Boston by Mayor Martin J. Walsh.

As of March 28th, there are 4257 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the State of Massachusetts, with 843 cases in Suffolk County alone. There is no specific information on how many cases have been confirmed in the neighborhood of Dorchester.
