The moment was recorded in a picture shared by the academy on January 29th, 2020.
Bryant died on January 26th, 2020, when the helicopter he was traveling in crashed in Calabasas, California. All nine on board were killed, including Bryant 13-year-old daughter Gianna Kobe his daughter Gianna; the former head coach of the Brewster Whitecaps of the Massachusetts Cape Cod Baseball League, John Altobelli, his wife Keri Altobelli, their daughter Alyssa; Sarah Chester and her 13-year-old daughter Payton; Mamba Sports Academy assistant coach Christina Mauser; and helicopter pilot Ara Zobayan.
Born in 1978, Kobe Bryant is considered one of the greatest professional basketball players of all time, he entered the NBA directly from high school and played his entire career with Los Angeles Lakers. He had four daughters with his wife Vanessa: Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri. Bryant and his family professed the Latin Catholic Christian faith, he was also a prolific entrepreneur and philanthropist.
