Created to honor members of the Fire Department and Local 718 who lost their lives in the line of duty, the event also serves as a way to raise funds for the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund and scholarships.
The USATF certified course of 6.2 miles (10 Kilometers) is fast and flat, with a great ocean view around Dorchester Bay, strict course security, and electronic timing with mile splits, according to the organizers.
Participants will gather at the Florian Hall (55 Hallet Street, Dorchester MA 02124) this Sunday, October 20th, 2019, at 9 AM.
