This week, the Boston Parks & Recreation Department and the Boston Mayor Marty Walsh are inviting the young ones in the city to the 2019 ParkARTS Boston Children’s Summer Festival, taking place tomorrow Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at the Franklin Park. Among the events scheduled for the season include the Movie Night, where children and young kids will enjoy popular movies from this year for free. All the showings typically start at dusk (approx. 8 PM).
This Wednesday, August 21st, youngsters can catch a showing of Sony’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse at the Ronan Park (92 Mt. Ida Road, Dorchester MA 02124). Below you can see some of the other dates and locations of the showings that will take place later this week:
The location of the Festival is at 25 Pierpont Road in Roxbury, near the rear entrance of the Franklin Park Zoo; from 10 AM to 1 PM. Among the free activities that will be available at the festival are the ParkARTS arts & crafts, “Bubble Guy” Jim Dichter, the New England Aquarium, face-painting, building blocks with LEGOLAND and more.
