2018 edition of the Dorchester Bike & Brew festival. (Credits: Lee-Daniel Tran Photography / Greater Ashmont Main Street)The Annual Dorchester Bike & Brew community festival is arriving this year to its 4th edition, and this time around they’ve gathered a a series of bike advocate groups and beer enthusiasts, as well as all ages activities and food trucks so the whole community can participate.
Among the participants in the festival this year, the Dorchester Brewing Company will have a beer garden with their craft brews, hard cider and wine, MassBike will be hosting a “bike rodeo” for youth and adults, and Ashmont Farmers Market will have lawn games. There’ll be musical guests still to be determined and local government representation in the event, among them the Boston Police Department.
The event will be taking place at the Peabody Square on a small portion of Talbot Avenue (between Dorchester Ave. and Welles Ave.) on Saturday, September 21st 2019, from 5PM to 9PM. It’s a free, public event, and its beer sales will go towards offsetting the planning and organizing costs. MassBike will provide a free bike valet service.
