Photo courtesy of the Boston Fire DepartmentUnder almost 100 degrees of temperature, the Fire Department was battling today a 5th-alarm building fire that left many residents displaced.
Around 3:45 p.m. the fire was reported at 439 Quincy St. in Dorchester, that quickly expanded to the adjacent buildings. By 4:20 p.m. the blaze was controlled, but 30 residents are now displaced from their homes.

Damages to the property are estimated at $400,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
