Among the free, public activities that will be celebrated this year include their regular canoeing and kayaking down the Neponset River, live musical performances, multiple food trucks, soccer demonstrations, and other outdoor activities such as biking, rock wall climbing and fishing clinics, among others. Attendants are encouraged to assist with their families and bring blankets for picnic, to spend the summer in the company of the scenery and wildlife the park has to offer.
Indie-folk soul vocalist Morgan Minsk, American Idol Season 13° finalist Sam Woolf, local talent Richie Parsons, and the Boston ILL Harmonic will be at the event as part of the musical performances; there will be environmental and science exhibits as well as raffle baskets courtesy of many sponsors.
The Neponset Riverfest is taking place this Saturday, July 20th 2019 from 10AM to 2PM. The DCR Neponset Park is located at the corner of Granite Ave. and Hilltop St., and the parking lot entrance is on Hilltop St. (Dorchester MA 02122). For information on sponsorship opportunities, click here.
