This Saturday, June 15th, 2019, Martin’s park will be officially open to the public with a family festival celebration, live entertainment, and a collection drive to benefit the Camp Harbor View organization.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park, located at 64 Sleeper Street (Boston, MA 02210) next to the Children’s Museum.
The park had a construction budget of $7 million and features a playground, passive use, and water play. It was initially named Children’s Wharf Park, then renamed Martin’s park to honor the youngest victim of the Boston Marathon bombings, Dorchester resident Martin W. Richard.
