Fifth Dot Pot Hockey Tournament 2019 to benefit Dorchester neighbor

Dot Pot recently announced the dates of the fifth installment of their tournament, in benefit of Dorchester neighbor Bobby Collins, who has devoted over 25 years of volunteering work to the Cedar Grove baseball team and is currently facing health issues. The tournament, scheduled to take place on Memorial Day Weekend (May 24th 2019 to the 26th), will seek to gather funds to help Mr. Collins with the expenses of his end stage renal failure and the aggressive form of melanoma affecting him, as well as the recovery costs involved.


Sponsorship for the event is being sought out to purchase the shirts that will be used by the teams in the tournament —24 from the Boston area and beyond— and sold to the fans, which will have the names of the sponsors printed on the back. Private individuals will be able to become sponsors with a $125 donation via Venmo (@dotpotV) or checks dropped off at Galvin Group Office in Neponset Avenue.

This Fifth Dot Pot Tournament will take place at the Garvey Park (340 Neponset Ave, Boston, MA 02122), with each participating team paying $250 to play ($50 per skater, goalies play free of charge).
