Get a free tree at Dorchester Hope Garden

Persimmon, Chinese apricot, Sour cherry, Amelanchier Serviceberry, and Fig trees will be giving away for free to Dorchester residents this weekend.

All the freebie plants provide fruits and can be harvested. They will be available on a first come-first serve basis at the H.E.R.O. Hope Garden (424 Geneva Avenue) this Saturday, May 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The event is hosted by local organizations, among them H.E.R.O., Speak for the Trees, Farmers Collaborative, and Boston Food Forest.
