Fire at Lithgow Street leaves 8 adults and 1 children displaced and $50K in damages

Earlier this morning, the Boston Fire Department responded to a report of a building fire at 61 Lithgow Street (Dorchester MA 02124). Upon arriving at 10:30AM, the firefighters determined the source of the smoke in a fire originating on the third floor rear porch of the building, which was quickly knocked down as the residents were safely evacuated from the fire, uninjured.

The incident, according to the first inquiries, was calculated at approximately $50,000, with 8 adults and one children displaced by the incident as the aftermath according to the Red Cross. Pictures above credited to the Boston Fire Department.
