The Boston Fire Department responded to a report this Thursday afternoon of a building fire at 46 Lyon Street (Dorchester MA 02122). The fire was localized in the rear of the 3-stories building, dealt by the first arriving companies with a quick knock down operation. At the moment of the incident, there was no one at the building, therefore no injuries to report.
The fire also affected the 42 Lyon Street building, and the estimated damages combined, according to the Fire Investigation Unit, is $140,000 and will determine the causes of the incident. According to the Fire Department, the property management will take care of the residents of the building.
