The 13th annual chili cook-off to benefit the 2019 Dorchester Day Parade was held yesterday at the Local 103 IBEW with the participation of local and citywide organizations and businesses.
The teams prepared their best chili recipes to attendee’s deleite, while competing against each other to gain the judges to their side.
The three judges were City Councilor Andrea Campbell, comic (and politician) Jimmy Tingle, and Boston Government Executive Assistant Eugenia Soiles, who after having a “tough job” selected the following winners:
- Most Creative: Boston Planning & Development Agency
- Best Non-Beef: City of Boston Credit Union (runner up: UMass Boston)
- Best in Show: Tavolo Ristorante
- People’s Choice: Dorchester Lower Mills Civic Association
The Dorchester Day Parade is an annual tradition celebrated continuously since 1963 (and 114 times in total) every first Sunday of June.
