The Boston Fire Department responded in early hours of the morning to the reports of a building fire at 15 Powellton Road (Dorchester MA 02125). The fire was coming out of the third floor of a 2 1/2 story wood frame building which spread to the second floor. This took place at around 12:20AM, and after nearly 1h of operation, the fire was successfully knocked down.
The fire resulted in five adults and five children displaced, with an estimate of $500,000 in material damages, according to the Fire Investigation Unit that was present at the event. The Red Cross is providing housing to the residents affected by this incident.
