Father Ahern recognized for his efforts to promote equity in the community

Father Jack Ahern —Pastor of Dorchester Saint Gregory Parish and former pastor Dorchester Holy Family, St. Peter and Blessed Mother Teresa parishes — was recognized by Governor Charlie Baker for his role as a pioneer of Catholic education in Boston, as well as his commitment to equity and as a “champion of the marginalized” in the community. Father Ahern is a respected and cherished figure in Archdiocese of Boston, after moving from his 15-year assigned spot in Brookline to lead his current three parishes in the city. The recognition was received late January 2019.
