Heavy fire at 22 Bearse Avenue leaves $400K in damages and two people displaced

The Boston Fire Department dealt a report of a building fire located at 22 Bearse Avenue and Dorchester Avenue this early morning, at approximately 1AM. The heavy fire took over the first and second floors of the 2½ stories single family house, and demanded all fire companies working to suppress it. The inhabitants were evacuated safely and without injuries, while the firefighters suffocated the fire, taking at least two hours until it was fully dealt with.

The Fire Investigation Unit showed up at the scene to assess the damages, arriving at an initial estimate of $400K total, leaving the two members of the house displaced. Emergency Medical Services were present at the scene lending their assistance, and Boston Sparks supported the firefighters as they worked in the cold conditions.
