The submission applications for Write on The Dot: Volume V opened this past weekend, and they have posted the guidelines for writing applications in the series on their website. Those who are interested in participating in the initiative must include, aside from the written submission, a short biography specifying their relationship to the Dorchester neighborhood or the UMass Boston along with the text. According to the staff of the publication, the genres that will be accepted for submissions are the following:
- Prose (up to 10 pages, double-spaced);
- Poetry (up to 3 or 5 poems, single-spaced);
- Short fiction (3 to 5 short pieces up to 500 words, double-spaced);
- Art (bi-dimensional, in a format suitable for a 6×9″ journal).
The submissions will be accepted until Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, after a deadline extension of the previous March 15th via email. If you reside in Dorchester, have a creative streak and want to contribute with the initiative, drop them an email with your best prose.
