The Mayor of Boston Marty Walsh and the Dorchester Holiday Celebration Committee are inviting the members of the Dorchester community next week to join them in their annual Dorchester Holiday Tree Lightnings & Trolley Tour, kick-starting the Holiday celebrations in the neighborhood.
Next Saturday, November 24th 2018, the tour across Dorchester —alongside Santa Claus— will be visiting the following locations at specific times, lighting up the trees around the neighborhood at each stop:
- Neponset Circle (4:00 PM)
- Port Norfolk (4:20 PM)
- Harbor Point (4:40 PM)
- Allen Park & Meetinghouse Hill (5:00 PM)
- Strand Theatre (5:20 PM)
- St. Teresa of Calcutta (5:40 PM)
- Ryan Playground on Dot Ave. (6:00 PM)
- Fields Corner (6:20 PM)
- Adams/Kind playground (6:40 PM)
- Peabody Square (7:00 PM)
- Lower Mills (7:20 PM)
In some locations, such as the Fields Corner stop, there will be hot chocolate, brownies, special activities for children, music and gift bags right around the time the trolley tour visits their tree.
